Founded in London in 2020 by designer Pei Li, SP.9 stands for stength, prosperity and the number nine which is auspicious in Chinese culture. Pei was born in China and studied visual arts and business at world-class design schools in New Zealand, Canada and the U.K., giving him a passion for incorporating different cultural influences into his design schemes.

 

In 2020, Pei Li won an international design award for the Coral Royale table lamp from his Ori Home collection which revives the ancient Chinese tradition of Su embroidery and combines it with contemporary design sensibilities.
